Come Alive Women’s Retreat

“How do you know its’ God?” people ask me this all the time.

This is how.

Come Alive Women’s Retreat 2024, was placed on my heart alongside the vision of waking up and rising from our worldly slumber, launching into spirit-led activity through our days. As I was planning for the year ahead, God planted this vision on my heart that I never saw coming and never planned for either.

“Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.” Ephesians 5:14

Receiving this vision in December 2023 with just barely two months to fully execute this event and every detail of it, not having planned something so vast before, I knew it was Jesus’ heart to gather us.

The gathering of women from various communities, backgrounds and journeys, to be blessed and to bless each other. It was on his heart that specific women were involved in the ways that they were. It was on his heart for each of us to experience His tangibility, His presence, His healing, His breakthroughs, and His confirmation of revival across the generations.

The question was, “Am I listening?” to what His heart is and was I ready to wholeheartedly follow Him, trusting that with the vision, He will provide the resource too. Was I ready to experience the fullness of God’s heart, purpose for our lives and would I allow Him to serve us?

I was. In fact, we all were and we could not have anticipated the day to be the way that it was. All glory to Jesus!

“I got invited to the women’s retreat by a church friend. When I saw the event’s theme, it hit right to my heart as in February 2023, I was on a prayer run when the Lord gave me a word to pray for. The word was, to wake those in slumber and I also received a vision of the gathering of the Lord’s army. A year of prayer seems to have come alive as I stood in the midst of the start of the women’s retreat and in the worship witnessing the Lord’s vision come to pass. The worship was a confirmation of the refreshing of the Lord’s army, as He prepares us. It touches my heart and I say thank you God for speaking and sharing this moment with me.” - Lin

She was a huge confirmation and great affirmation in the fact that the Lord was directing my steps and that what we chose to do in obedience of Him was pleasing to Him.

The breakthroughs of mental and spiritual bondages, people’s prayers impacting the woman around them and strangers outside the event too, spiritual attacks being lifted, non believing family & friends gathering, generations worshipping Jesus in dance and song, and the new friendships and journeys that are being forged post retreat. There was humility, strength, boldness and holy reverence in the atmosphere. The spirit of the Lord rested upon us and I am in awe of the blessings that were poured upon us, as we made room for Jesus to dwell among us.

I believe that God wants a revival within us and He wants us, as women of the Lord, to prepare ourselves for our bridegroom to return.
